The Stardate Converter will change any
calendar date you select into a stardate, or a stardate into a calendar
date. The year 2387 is the year that would be
taking place in the television series Star Trek: The Next
Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Star Trek:
Voyager if they were still airing today.
To convert a calendar date to a stardate: type in the date you
wish to change into the fields above. The date must be in numberical
form, for example the month January would be the number '1', February
would be '2', and so on. Days are typed in the same as they appear on a
calendar, the first day of the month would be '1', the second day '2',
etc. The year must be entered as a 4 digit format, example 1998. Hours
may be typed in as a number from '1' to '23', 1 meaning 1 o'clock am
and 23 meaning 11 o'clock pm. Minutes and seconds are the same as you
would read them off a clock, from '1' to '59'.
To convert a stardate to a calendar date: click the 'Stardate to
Date' button on the right, and then enter the stardate you wish to
convert. The stardate may be any date from '-999999.99' to '999999.99'
with up to 2 decimal places, for example 'Stardate 56126.25'. Once you
have entered your stardate, click 'Convert Now!' and you will
receive the equvalent Earth calendar date.
